SUSTAINABILITY AT NORDIMED

At NordiMED, we are committed to incorporating sustainability into our business practices in a responsible and transparent manner. We understand the importance of authenticity and strive to make sustainability initiatives that are substantive and verified, thus avoid greenwashing and overpromising. Here’s an overview of our sustainability efforts:

NORDIMED AMONGST WORLD’S LEADING IN SUSTAINABILITY – TOP 15%

In the first quarter of 2024, we underwent an environmental, sustainability, and governance (ESG) assessment by EcoVadis. The assessment evaluated our practices across three categories: environment, labour & human rights, and ethics, and resulted in a high ranking (silver medal) as the top 15% best amongst the 130.000+ companies that EcoVadis have rated.

This ESG assessment is something will aspire to undergo annually to ensure our certification does not expire, and thus having an independent third party verifying our efforts in keeping committed to sustainable and responsible business practices across environment, labour, and ethics.

We are actively working to reduce our carbon footprint through practical measures such as optimizing energy usage and assessing our supply chain. Verified by Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), we have set a maintenance target to keep our scope 1 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at 0 tCO2e, reduce our scope 2 GHG emissions with 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year, and to measure and reduce our scope 3 GHG emissions. For more about SBTi and to see our verified commitment on their website click here.

All values are in ton CO2 emissions (tCO2e).

SUPPLIER DIVERSITY AT NORDIMED

As a part of improving our business practices across labour rights, human rights, and ethics, NordiMED has been increasingly focused on inclusion and diversity. We believe that diverse workforce, partners, and suppliers challenge conventional thinking and help make innovation and creativity thrive.

We are committed to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in our supply chain focussing on small and diverse businesses. We aim to actively seek out and include small and diverse suppliers.

The goals of our supplier diversity policy are to maintain or increase the share of small and/or diverse suppliers and to foster long-term relationships with these suppliers. Read our supplier diversity program here.

To achieve these goals, we set the following measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for our supplier diversity program.

  1. Maintain or increase share of small and diverse suppliers
    1. Goal: Ensure that small and diverse suppliers constitute at least 40% of the total supply chain.
    2. Metric: Calculate the percentage of small and diverse suppliers compared of the total number of suppliers.
  2. Geographical diversity of suppliers
    1. Goal: Ensure that small and diverse suppliers expand to at least 2 countries.
    2. Metric: Count the number of small and diverse suppliers operating in different countries. Ensure that suppliers are spread out across multiple regions to promote geographical diversity.
  3. Supplier retention
    1. Goal: Ensure long-term partnerships with small and diverse suppliers.
    2. Metric: Calculate share of small and diverse suppliers who have been retained for more than 2 years.
